Notes

more of a slice of life type of novel
not really action packed or a fast-paced thriller
the writing style is smooth and easy to read
but the plot feels kinda dull
there's a lot of stuff about the city and culture of Parma, Italy
that can be interesting, but i'm not as into all those details
since the author likes the city, he makes the characters like it too
but an NFL player wouldn't be that crazy about opera or history
so it feels a little fake, like he's just promoting the city because he likes it
overall, it's still a decent book, but not one of my favorites by Grisham
it's a little more artsy, slice of life, and less action-packed plot-driven
