this is my favorite book by Stephen Frey
it's short and tightly plotted
the title actually makes sense, unlike some of his other books, like Trust Fund
one thing i don't like as much is the first person present tense voice
but it's consistent at least, so you get used to it after a while
the story itself is great, it has interesting finance plus a good murder mystery
at the end, everything comes together, and there are some good twists also
at first it seems like the ending should happen sooner
and that the denouement and wrap-up still have too many pages left to go
but it turns out those pages are useful, they advance the story even more
and they wrap up all the details of all the characters cleanly
overall, a very good book with a shorter length and a tight plot |
