i didn't like this particular book as much as others in the series
it does start bringing in some of the thriller genre, not just mystery
but the pace seems slower on this one than his other books
as usual, the gambling tricks and scams are the most interesting parts
there is a lot of connection to past characters and it leads into the next book
so the characters definitely follow a long path through the whole series
the main thing i didn't like about this book was the whole terrorist angle
that didn't fit the title, and it just wasn't that unique or interesting
the casino stuff is his strength, and i'd prefer a plot centered around that
overall, not as good as other books in the series |
