interesting character, I read this because I liked the original story, Odd Thomas
overall, Dean's style is different than mine
I like his sense of humor, lots of subtle one-liners and funny comments
but I don't like his authorial intrusion as much, his philosophy of the world
sometimes it fits with mine, but when it doesn't, it takes away a bit from the story
also the suspense is not as ramped up and high tension as other thrillers
it's more psychological, more thoughtful
this is interesting, but in general I prefer John Grisham, James Patterson |
