Notes
mostly about personal accountability
make better choices in the moment by asking better questions
before choosing an action, choose your thoughts carefully
1) begin with "What" or "How" (not "Why," "When" or "Who")
2) contain an "I" (not "they," "them," "we" or "you")
3) focus on action
example - "What can I do?"
stress is a choice, we choose our response to events
"How can I adapt to new changes in my life?"
the answers are in the questions
"How can I achieve with the resources I already have?"
don't blame others, ask how you can succeed regardless
don't compete against your own teammates
succeed despite the barriers that you can't control
the only person I can really change is me
discipline your thoughts, ask better questions, then take action
humility is the cornerstone of leadership
learning is translating knowing what to do into doing what we know |
