Based on a female vox sample singing the chorus line, "Love's a key and nothing can stop it", the song turned into a funky beat with some improvised electric guitar riffs, and mixed pretty nicely in the Soup Dragons' "Divine Thing". See the mix tape, Techno-Pop 2: experiment in progress.
Love's a Key
Date: 12/07/1993
Love's a key...
and nothing can stop it
I'm looking for the better life
Just trying to find a way
To make things right
Sometimes things don't fit together
The answers to questions
Well they escape my mind
And all the time
The truth was right before me
But I was blind to all but misery
The door that locks me out
Now stands before me
I'll take the chance to see what I can see
Love's a key...
and nothing can stop it
Loving is all I ever wanted
To have, to hold
To keep close to my heart
But dealing with all these complications
Is something that I would rather do without
And all the time
The truth was right before me
But I was blind to all but misery
The door that locks me out
Now stands before me
I'll take the chance to see what I can see
Love's a key...
and nothing can stop it
