This track was written for the 1994 Asian American Association Fashion Show. My friends and I coordinated the business scene, so I put together a mix of a bunch of songs, including this original. We had this whole scene where a guy and a girl wake up in the morning and get ready for work, and then it goes into a P.M. Dawn song when they're on the train ("About Nothing - for the love of destiny"), then into a mix of "Pressure" (Billy Joel), "Workaholic" (2 Unlimited), and "Hard Day's Night" (The Beatles). You can find this track on an old Blue Audio mix tape from 1994 called Techno-Pop 2: experiment in progress.
Change Your Look
by Blue Audio

You wake up slowly, early morning
The sun lights softly upon your eyes
With every minute passing by
You feel your body start to rise
From deepest sleep and safest dreams
A spiritual endeavor in your heart
And in your mind...

Step out of bed and find your way
Through the beginning of the day
Getting ready to face
The dangers of another working day
Slave to the grind, but you don't mind
Are you numb, or are you blind
But don't you waste your time
Just thinking 'bout another way

Into the mirror you stare
Trying to decide just what to wear
So many choices, here are just a few
Look carefully at what's before you
'Cause you'll be out there someday
Just another grunt
Trying to make it through another day...
