BLUE AUDIO FULL BIOGRAPHY
(full-length bio,
345 words, 1929 characters, see shorter version below)
We all know that life at times can throw you an unexpected curve.
Everyone has seen relationships where two people struggle with the
same issues over and over, without ever realizing the value in what
they have together. And sometimes a simple car ride can take away
the chance to say something that should have been said all along.
In essence leaving it all on The Road.
This isn't merely the title of one of the featured songs on John Wu's
third album entitled, A Quiet Shade of Blue, it's an insight into
his personal life and thoughts. John Wu combines a wide range of
influences on the new album, showing a transition from the electronic
pop style of Savage Garden, to the guitar influence of John Mayer and
the R&B rhythms of Craig David. The album comes full circle with
the last track, a 160 bpm remix of an acoustic guitar song. All of
these influences provide the soundtrack to John's stories of life that
we can all relate to. Stories that focus on the changes in relationships
in our lives, what we might learn afterwards, and the desired and
often forgotten freedom from the problems we encounter everyday.
In Drowning in Goodbyes, John provides his insight into a personal
relationship we have all experienced, when the end is inevitable but
we struggle with the last moment of parting. And in that moment we
often realize the things we took for granted in the relationship and in
ourselves.
While many artists today merely want to entertain us, John reminds us
of the power of music to focus ourselves on what is really important to
us and the others we share our lives with. His new album tells a story,
so much so that it inspired John to write a fictional novel about four
young characters and their experiences in the city of Chicago. From the
dance club to the open road and back again, the story parallels the album
and brings another level of insight into love, life, and the music of
Blue Audio.
